Obosen

Obosen marks the feature filmmaking return of acclaimed Filipino director Raya Martin, developed by Philippines-based independent studio Rein Entertainment. The folkloric horror thriller follows a policewoman investigating disappearances in a remote Philippine town who ventures into a forest where mythology and reality converge. Producer Arleen Cuevas, Martin's frequent collaborator, is bringing the project to the Cannes Film Festival Producer's Network as part of the Filipino delegation sponsored by the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Rein Entertainment has also brought on filmmaker-producer Quark Henares, former head of originals for Amazon MGM Studios Philippines, as a partner to help develop and position the project internationally. Martin is celebrated for becoming the first Filipino director to have two films selected at Cannes in the same year with Independencia and Manila in 2009.
