Not a Sound

Not a Sound is a drama series in development at Hulu, adapted from Heather Gudenkauf's novel of the same name. Ellen Pompeo is attached to star as Amelia Winn, a disgraced ER nurse who becomes profoundly deaf following a devastating hit-and-run accident. With the help of her service dog, she discovers the body of a former colleague, drawing her into a dangerous investigation. The project reunites Pompeo with veteran producer David E. Kelley, marking their first collaboration since Grey's Anatomy followed Boston Legal in the ABC Sunday lineup in 2005. Matthew Tinker and Annakate Chappell, who previously worked together on Big Sky, are writing the series, with Azazel Jacobs attached to direct. David E. Kelley Productions is producing alongside Pompeo's Calamity Jane banner, with 20th Television serving as the studio. The project falls under Pompeo's overall deal with 20th Television.
