Project Summary

My Phone Died is a dark comedy feature that enters pre-production for a spring 2027 shoot. Hannah Leder and Alexandra Kotcheff return as writer-directors following their 2019 indie The Planters, and will also co-star in the film. Simon Pegg plays Gus, a Hollywood agent who narrowly escapes the phone apocalypse, while Mark Duplass plays one of Gus's self-obsessed clients who doesn't survive. Haley Joel Osment portrays a recovering alcoholic and social media influencer. The project is a Fire Tiger Films and Thank You So Much production, with Hyde Park International handling worldwide sales. Leder and Kotcheff describe the film as their exploration of a world teetering between innovation and self-destruction, blending apocalyptic stakes with character-driven absurdity.
