My Nigerian Fiancé is a romantic comedy spanning Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong, announced at the Cannes Film Market in May 2026. The project is being developed by A13 Films, with founder Chidozie Christian Ahaiwe and UK-based Hong Kong creative Hiu Man Chan attached as executive producers. The film follows a London-based Nigerian man who hires an Asian dancer to pose as his fiancé at a family anniversary celebration in Lagos. When their arrangement evolves into genuine feeling, both characters must confront family pressure, ambition, and identity. The collaboration took shape during conversations at the Hong Kong Pavilion at Cannes and will draw on Nigerian music and fashion throughout. Casting is expected later in 2026, with the film now in development.
