Lost Angeles

Set in contemporary Los Angeles, the story follows two Chinese immigrants and lifelong friends whose lives have taken opposite paths. Wu Jian appears to have achieved the American dream—a successful career, a loving wife, and financial stability—yet finds himself emotionally numb and disconnected. Zheng Yi struggles to support his disabled brother while chasing a future that always seems just out of reach. As both men become increasingly obsessed with the lives they never lived, their friendship is tested by envy, loneliness, and a growing desire to escape themselves. What begins as a search for meaning gradually spirals into identity, ambition, and the cost of suppressing human emotion. Shooting July 15 - August 15, 2026 in Los Angeles.
