Project Summary
Lé Nør [the rain] is being adapted from a stage production into a feature film by South Australian production company Light Sound Art Film, in collaboration with Perth theatre company The Last Great Hunt. The stage play, originally created by Adriane Daff, Arielle Gray, Chris Isaacs, and Tim Watts, premiered at Perth Festival in 2019 as a live-performed faux foreign film. Producer Jolyon Hoff signed a memorandum of understanding with The Last Great Hunt after seeing the production at Perth Festival in early 2026. The original creative team will write, direct, and star in the film adaptation, with Light Sound Art Film producing and Byron Bay-based Post 11 handling post-production. The project is currently in development and raising finance, with shooting planned for Q3 of 2027. The film is intended to be shot in one or very limited takes in a single location.
