In Our Own Sweet Way

In Our Own Sweet Way is an independent feature film now in post-production from writer-director Jeff Rutherford, marking his sophomore feature after A Perfect Day for Caribou premiered at Locarno in 2022. The film stars J. Smith-Cameron (Succession) and Jefferson White (Yellowstone), who also serves as producer. Rutherford directs from his own script and produces under his Fred Senior Films banner alongside Stoner Ranch Productions, Echo & Add, and Fair Oaks Entertainment. The period drama shot recently and follows two neighbors in a small-town setting whose uneasy relationship transforms over the course of a single spring. Post-production is currently underway on the independent production.
