Ibu: Mother of the Lost

Ibu: Mother of the Lost is a bilingual horror feature in pre-production, developed in both English and Bahasa Indonesia by Indonesian-Australian producer Intan Kieflie through Kraken Entertainment and Anak Negeri Films. The project centers on maternal grief and supernatural terror, with cast members including Christine Hakim, Yayan Ruhian, Alexander Wraith, and Kieflie herself. The film is part of The Black Ritual Universe, a multi-platform horror franchise that also includes Ritual Gaib: Nyai Randasura. Kieflie is presenting the project at the 2026 Cannes Film Market for co-production partners, investment, strategic partners, and pre-sales, targeting buyers across North America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and other international territories. With Kieflie operating between Jakarta and Melbourne, the production is positioned to bridge Indonesian folklore with international genre cinema.
