Gro(ceries) is a dark horror comedy feature in pre-production, co-written by Sex Education star Chinenye Ezeudu-Sterling and director Sophie King. The project is being presented at Fantasia Festival's Frontières Co-Production Market in Montreal this July, where U. K. -based producers Rosanna Eden-Ellis of Five By Five Films and Catherine Joy White of Kusini Productions are seeking international financing and distribution partners. Paris-based companies SCoT(T) and The Project have recently joined as co-production partners, strengthening the film's international framework. The project participated in Glasgow Film Festival's Funny Features Lab earlier in 2026, working with mentors including Prano Bailey-Bond and David Pope. Production is targeting a first quarter 2027 shoot in the U. K. , with early casting conversations now underway.
