Project Summary
Dungeon Crawler Carl is a live-action series adaptation of Matt Dinniman's bestselling LitRPG book series, now in development at Peacock following a straight-to-series order in June 2026. Chris Yost writes and executive produces, with Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions handling the CGI-heavy production alongside Universal Global Television. Dinniman serves as co-executive producer. The project—which blends dark comedy, survival horror, and satirical reality-show tropes—centers on Carl, a Coast Guard vet, and Princess Donut, a talking show cat, forced to compete in a deadly dungeon crawl broadcast as entertainment for an alien audience. Fuzzy Door's track record on The Orville and Ted positions the studio well for the effects-intensive material. No casting, filming location, or production start date has been announced; the team is scheduled to present at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026 with further details.
