Courtside

Courtside is a romantic comedy in development from Run-A-Muck, the multi-platform media company co-founded by Jennifer Beals, Ilene Chaiken, and Pamela Drucker Mann. The film is being developed under the company's REIGN women's sports division, with a script by Brittani Nichols (Abbott Elementary executive producer) and direction by Carly Usdin. The project features real WNBA players Gabby Williams, Theresa Plaisance, and Syd Colson in on-screen roles, with Colson also serving as executive producer. Beals is also set to appear in the film. This marks the second feature collaboration between Nichols and Usdin, following their debut Suicide Kale, which won Audience Awards at Outfest and NewFest. The film represents Run-A-Muck's commitment to character-driven queer storytelling grounded in authentic athletic experiences.
