Bridgette Wrona and the Whisper Creek Murders has wrapped principal photography in Arlington, Texas, and is now in post-production. The YA mystery film from Little Spark Films follows the eponymous twenty-something sleuth, hostess of a popular true crime podcast called 'Hot Coffee, Cold Cases,' as she investigates the remote East Texas town of Whisper Creek, where a long-dormant serial killer known as The Flower King has resurfaced. Mary Beth McAndrews, director of marketing at Little Spark Films and filmmaker behind Bystanders, directed from a script by Preston Fassel, based on a concept by Cameron Hazelwood. The Arlington-based indie horror studio, founded by Joe Manco and Catalina Querida, has been expanding its genre slate with a focus on Texas-based productions.
