Project Summary
Bannerman is a spy thriller series that marks the first co-production between Netflix and AMC Studios. Based on John R. Maxim's five-book series of Paul Bannerman novels, the show follows a lethal covert operative who settles in the suburbs of Connecticut with a group of former assassins seeking normal lives. Craig Silverstein serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, while Shane Black co-wrote the first episode and will direct the first two episodes in his first foray into television as writer-director. Greg Nicotero and Brian Witten also executive produce, with AMC Studios serving as lead studio. The project, first announced by AMC in early 2023, opened a writers room in spring 2026 and received its greenlight after Netflix joined as co-production partner. The series will premiere on AMC in the US and Canada, with Netflix carrying it globally.
