Project Summary

Ad Vitam Eternam is the sequel to Netflix's 2025 French action thriller Ad Vitam, which achieved 70 million views and ranked ninth on the streamer's most-watched non-English films globally. Guillaume Canet returns as former elite GIGN agent Franck Lazareff, reprising his role from the original alongside returning cast Stéphane Caillard, Nassim Lyes, and Zita Hanrot, with new additions Sophie Marceau and Mathieu Amalric. Ludovic Colbeau-Justin takes over directing duties from the original's Rodolphe Lauga, working from a screenplay co-written by Canet and novelist Maxime Chattam with David Corona. Cabanes Productions, the company Canet runs with Jean Cottin, is producing. Principal photography began August 10, 2026, with shooting scheduled across multiple French regions including Ile-de-France, Normandy, Savoie, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
