Silver is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with C. Mason Wells, his collaborator on Between the Temples. The English-language adaptation will transpose the original Colombian film's story of a struggling poet mentoring a teenage creative talent to upstate New York. The remake rights were acquired by Ben Saïd, whose recent credits include Paul Verhoeven's Elle and Ira Sachs' The Man I Love.
