4 X 4: The Event is a horror thriller that has wrapped principal photography under director Alex Ullom, marking his second collaboration with Neon following his debut feature It Ends. The film stars an ensemble of eight young actors including Sophia Lillis, Dylan Minnette, Jacob Tremblay, Jaden Smith, Quintessa Swindell, Marcel Ruiz, Maddie Phillips, and Mitchell Cole. The production is a collaboration between Spooky Pictures, Image Nation Studios, Divide/Conquer, and Phobos, with producers Roy Lee and Steven Schneider leading the horror project alongside Adam Hendricks, Greg Gilreath, Chris Ferguson, Osgood Perkins, Haley Johnson, and Evan Barber. Neon acquired worldwide distribution rights earlier in 2026. The film follows contestants in a deadly online livestream competition where survival depends on what they can purchase and deploy from e-commerce platforms.
