Telecine

Telecine (Telecine Programação de Filmes Ltda.) is a Brazilian premium pay-television network and streaming service owned by Grupo Globo, operating six genre-segmented linear channels and an integrated streaming catalog of over 2,000 films. Launched in 1991 as one of Brazil's first Globosat pay-TV channels, it was originally a joint venture with major Hollywood studios (Paramount, Universal, MGM, Fox) until Globo acquired full control in November 2024. The network is the leader in pay-TV film programming in Brazil, offering new releases, classics, and co-produced local content, with its former standalone streaming service Telecine Play now integrated into the Globoplay platform.
