About

Plan B Entertainment, Inc. is a Beverly Hills-based American film and television production company co-founded on November 2, 2001 by Brad Pitt, Brad Grey, Kristin Hahn, and Jennifer Aniston, now led by Brad Pitt (Chairman & CEO) and co-presidents Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. It is one of Hollywood's most decorated independent producers, having earned three Best Picture Oscar wins — The Departed (2006), 12 Years a Slave (2013), and Moonlight (2016) — and more than 10 total Best Picture nominations, along with the PGA's David O. Selznick Achievement Award in 2020. In December 2022, Paris-based Mediawan (backed by KKR) acquired an approximately 60% majority stake, valuing the company at over $300 million; the deal has triggered a major television and international expansion including a European branch, Plan B Europe, based in London and headed by Ed Macdonald (formerly of Clerkenwell Films, known for Baby Reindeer).
