Globoplay

Globoplay is Brazil's leading subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) and over-the-top (OTT) streaming service, owned by Globo (a division of Grupo Globo, Brazil's largest media conglomerate). Launched on November 3, 2015, it primarily distributes telenovelas, original series, Brazilian films, live sports, news, and international content from TV Globo's vast library, as well as exclusive Globoplay Originals. By 2020 it became the most used national streaming service in Brazil with over 20 million registered users, and as of 2025 has 25–30 million monthly active users, with a global footprint spanning 22 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. The platform achieved breakeven in 2024 and posted its first quarterly profit of R$50 million in Q2 2025.
