Estúdios Globo

Estúdios Globo (English: Globo Studios) is the television production arm of Grupo Globo and Latin America's largest audiovisual production center. Located between the Curicica and Jacarepaguá neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro's west zone, its sprawling 1.73 million m² lot is widely considered the largest television production facility in the world, housing thirteen recording studios, fictional cities, post-production suites, special effects facilities, costume workshops, and full administrative services. Originally known as Projac (short for Projeto Jacarepaguá) when inaugurated in 1995, it was rebranded Estúdios Globo in February 2016, and is responsible for the bulk of production for TV Globo, Globoplay, and Canais Globo including telenovelas, series, miniseries, reality shows, variety, and entertainment programming.
