Wrecker is a neo-noir crime drama in the vein of Drive and Taxi Driver, exploring loneliness, redemption, and the search for connection in a dark and unforgiving world. The film follows Harlan Spivey, a young ex-con trying to rebuild his life after prison while working as a tow truck driver in a dangerous city. Haunted by his past, Harlan struggles to find redemption until he reconnects with Maribel Zuniga, a young woman whose passion for dance has always been her escape. As a child, Maribel was inspired to dance after watching The Red Shoes, sparking a lifelong love for movement and performance. Although she once dreamed of becoming a ballerina, she was told her height would limit her opportunities in the ballet world. Rather than abandoning her passion, Maribel found a new path, embracing dance as an art form and pursuing her dream of becoming a professional dancer. Strong-willed, compassionate, and determined, Maribel becomes a source of hope and inspiration in Harlan's life. Their connection is built on two people fighting to overcome the circumstances that have defined them and finding the courage to pursue a better future.
