Untitled ITV Legal Drama
Project Summary
An untitled legal drama series is moving into pre-production for ITV, written by Steve Thompson, the acclaimed screenwriter behind episodes of Sherlock and Doctor Who. The project centers on a working-class barrister in a character-driven legal drama. Jodie Whittaker has been cast in the lead role after Michelle Keegan withdrew from the project due to scheduling conflicts. Filming is scheduled to begin in November 2026. The series has not yet been formally announced by ITV, though production preparations are underway. Thompson previously created the period drama Jericho for ITV and has written extensively for British television.
