When a struggling mobster and a legendary crime boss switch places in everyone's minds, two crime families discover that power may be nothing more than a story people choose to believe. A small-time gangster is invited to dinner by the city's most feared crime boss. After a mysterious whispered exchange, the entire world suddenly believes the underdog is the kingpin and the kingpin is a nobody. As one family races to exploit its outrageous new wealth, the other desperately fights to reclaim an empire that no one remembers belonged to them. The Hook What if power isn't real? What if a mafia empire exists solely because everyone agrees it does? And what happens when one whispered sentence rewrites that agreement? The Whisper combines the family dynamics of The Sopranos, the identity-switching fun of Trading Places, and the reality-bending mystery of The Twilight Zone.
