Project Summary
The Undertaker is an adaptation of the award-winning Swiss series Der Bestatter, currently in development at ABC. The procedural centers on Luke Conrad, a former detective who inherits his family's funeral home and continues investigating suspicious deaths. Gabriel Garza, known for his work on The Winchesters and The Flash, is writing and executive producing. Hanelle M. Culpepper, Emmy-nominated for her directing work on Paradise, is attached to direct and executive produce. The project comes from 20th Television and Elevate Entertainment, with Alex Cole, Joe Wiggins, and Michael Wenning serving as executive producers. Der Bestatter ran for seven seasons in Switzerland and was created by Hartmut Block, with rights held by One Gate Media.
