Project Summary
The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus is a live-action feature film currently in development at Monarch Media. Kali Bailey has been enlisted to adapt the screenplay based on L. Frank Baum's 1902 children's book, which explores the origin story of Santa Claus set in the same universe as Oz. Monarch principals Steve Barnett, Alan Powell, and Vicky Patel are attached to produce. Bailey previously collaborated with Monarch Media on A Week Away, which she co-wrote for the company. The project marks Monarch's continued expansion into family-friendly fantasy content, drawing from one of the 20th century's most recognized fantasy authors.
