Project Summary

The It Girls: Inside the 2000s is a documentary now in pre-production for The Roku Channel, with a 2027 premiere planned. Executive produced by Paris Hilton through her company 11:11 Media, the project teams with EverWonder Studio and Hi Mom Productions to explore how paparazzi, tabloids, and reality television transformed celebrities into commodities during the early 2000s. Inspired by Sarah Ditum's book Toxic: Women, Fame and the Tabloid 2000s, the documentary will feature archival material and new interviews with women who were at the center of the era. Hilton, who will appear in the film, is joined by executive producers Bruce Gersh, Bruce Robertson, Joanna Studebaker, Jon Adler, Amanda Spain, Missy Walker, Andrea Metz, Michelle Peerali, and Ditum. Brian Tannenbaum, Nicole Vogel, and Louisa L. Friedman are overseeing for Roku.
