The Flintstones (Live-Action Bamm-Bamm Feature)

Ryan Gosling and his Open Invite producing partner Jessie Henderson are developing a live-action Flintstones feature at Warner Bros that centers on an adult version of Bamm-Bamm Rubble. The project is in early development, with the duo currently searching for a writer to shape the script. While plot details remain under wraps, this marks a fresh take on the Hanna-Barbera franchise, shifting focus from Fred and the main Flintstone family to the Rubbles' adopted son, who was known in the original 1960s animated series for his club-swinging toddler antics and superhuman strength. The character previously aged up to a teenager in the 1971 spinoff The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show. No director, cast, or production timeline has been announced. Open Invite is also behind the upcoming romantic drama Love of Your Life, which premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.
