The Curse of Silver

The Curse of Silver is a supernatural horror-western reuniting Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone and Kiowa Gordon with director Geoff Marslett from Quantum Cowboys. The film is co-directed by Marslett and Gordon, working from a screenplay by Marslett and Rafael A. Ruiz. Set on the Texas-Mexico border in the aftermath of the Civil War, the story follows two Union deserters who drag a cursed chest of Confederate silver into a besieged town, unwittingly unleashing supernatural violence. Liz Cardenas, producer of A Ghost Story, and Ram Getz are producing, with Gladstone, Gordon, and Michael Mortensen serving as executive producers. The project is among 80 selected for the 2026 Gotham Week Project Market running through October 3 in Brooklyn, where it's being pitched to industry executives for financing. A production start date has not yet been announced.
