Project Summary
The series is a weekly satirical news / variety program in the vein of Weekend Update. It’s presented by actors playing hosts and reporters, filing fake stories informed by real events, the cultural zeitgeist, and our national newsmedia. But at its heart, it’s a sketch/variety show that uses the prism of fake news to highlight the absurdity of the Canadian condition.
