Technoblade Never Dies

Technoblade Never Dies is a feature documentary that has just entered production under Candle True Stories, the Los Angeles-based nonfiction division of Candle Media. Directed by Steven Lake, a Peabody-nominated documentary producer known for Roll Red Roll and Phantom Parrot, the film explores how a shy California teenager became one of Minecraft's most beloved creators through his humor, competitive skill, and singular personality. The project is being made with full cooperation from Technoblade's family and draws on hundreds of hours of the creator's own footage alongside interviews with family, friends, and members of his global community. Riot Games and Hypixel Studios are financing the film, with both companies donating their profits to charity. Executive producer James Goldston leads production for Candle True Stories, with Max Heckman and Robert Ford joining Lake as producers. The filmmakers are targeting a major festival premiere before theatrical distribution, though no release date or distribution deal is yet in place.
