Surviving Fred and Rose West: Inside Cromwell Street
Project Summary
Surviving Fred and Rose West: Inside Cromwell Street is a two-part documentary currently in production for UKTV's free streaming platforms U and U&W. Produced by London-based Red Sauce, a Zinc Media Group label, the series centers on Kathleen Richards, who moved into 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester at age 17 with her sister. The documentary traces her harrowing months living under the Wests' roof and her eventual escape. Chelsea Randall directs the series, with executive producers Helen Nightingale for UKTV and Tom Edwards for Red Sauce. The production reunites Richards with childhood friend and fellow witness Karen Hamilton as they return to Cromwell Street for the first time in almost 50 years. International distribution is being handled by BossaNova Media, with Virgin Media Television pre-buying the series for broadcast in Ireland. The documentary is set to launch in autumn 2026 on U and U&W.
