Spring Breakers: Salvation Mountain

Spring Breakers: Salvation Mountain, the long-awaited sequel to Harmony Korine's 2012 cult classic, has undergone a significant creative shift with Bella Thorne now attached as writer-director in addition to starring. The project, which was originally announced in May 2025 with Matthew Bright directing, moved forward after producers Chris Hanley and Jordan Gertner watched an early cut of Thorne's recent directorial work on Color Your Hurt. Thorne will lead an ensemble cast that includes Grace Van Dien, Ariel Martin, and True Whitaker in what's being billed as a Gen Z crime thriller. Muse Productions is producing with financing from Capstone Studios. The film remains in pre-production as Thorne develops her script, with production timing and locations yet to be announced.
