Sid & Zoey

Sid & Zoey is a supernatural gothic romance series ordered straight-to-series by Netflix in a competitive development deal. Created by Jon Kasdan with John Shiban serving as co-showrunner, the eight-episode series combines mystery and romance in what Netflix describes as a dark and unapologetically strange story. The project brings together major producers including J. J. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich for Bad Robot, and Jason Blum, James Wan, and Rob Hackett for Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Kasdan, known for his work on Willow and The First Time, will write and executive produce alongside Shiban, whose credits include Ozark. The series follows the collision of two worlds when a New York teen is sent to the idyllic Mississippi town where his mother grew up, meeting the police chief's sharp-witted daughter and uncovering supernatural secrets. Netflix has greenlit the project as part of its expanding YA slate, though no production timeline or casting has been announced.
