Shadow Work

Shadow Work is a one-hour drama series in development at Amazon MGM Studios, based on a short story by Adrienne Miller. The project follows Genevieve Pearce, an elite ghostwriter who embeds in the worlds of the rich, famous, and infamous to excavate secrets, reshape memories, and manufacture redemption. Miller, the former fiction editor of Esquire and author of the memoir In the Land of Men, will write the pilot and executive produce. Marc Resteghini will executive produce through Jack Tar Pictures, his production banner that holds an overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios. The project came to Amazon in a competitive situation, with producers fielding multiple offers before the streamer preemptively acquired rights. No production timeline has been announced.
