Rick and Morty Movie

Warner Bros. is developing an animated feature film based on Rick and Morty, the long-running Adult Swim series created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. Jacob Hair, who has directed numerous episodes since joining the show in 2019 and currently serves as supervising director, is in talks to direct the film. Dan Harmon has described his vision for the movie as a 90-minute super badass episode with elevated production values rather than a dramatic tonal shift from the series. The project is in early development with plot details under wraps. Hair's directing credits on the series include Emmy-winning episodes like The Vat of Acid Episode and Mort Dinner Rick Andre, as well as fan favorites like Unmortricken and Rickmurai Jack. The film marks the fourth Adult Swim animated series to receive a theatrical feature treatment, following Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros. , and Metalocalypse.
