Project Summary
Racing Waters returns for a second season, currently in production across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Directed by Asia Youngman and produced by Racing Waters Productions for APTN, the docuseries follows Indigenous war canoe and outrigger racing through the eyes of paddlers from the Island Brave Canoe Club and other clubs including Vikki Lynn Canoe Club and Rikkole Cree Canoe Club. The nine-episode first season premieres September 13, 2026 on APTN, with Season 2 expanding to new communities and international locations. Season 2 filming spans British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Singapore, and Alberta, capturing the competitive circuit and the cultural significance of canoe racing in Indigenous communities across the region.
