Project Summary

Queenstown is Netflix's first ANZ-commissioned series to be both set and shot in New Zealand. The eight-episode drama is currently in production in Queenstown, filming on location in the South Island resort town. Created and written by Chloe Stearns, the series is directed by Glendyn Ivin and Roseanne Liang. The production is backed by Silent Firework and Runaway Unicorn, with executive producers Jodi Matterson, Libbie Doherty, Jeremy Platt, and Erika North. Supported by the New Zealand Film Commission and Screen Production Rebate, the production is expected to generate $40 million for the local economy and create around 450 cast and crew jobs over a five-month shoot. Around 120 local crew are already working on the production, with the series set for global release on Netflix.
