Project Summary
Missing Pieces is a true crime docuseries that has been greenlit for two 10-episode seasons by Hearst Networks UK and Super Channel in Canada. Black Watch Entertainment, the Manitoba-based production company led by Meghan Duffy, will produce the 20-episode series shot back-to-back. Each hourlong episode reconstructs a murder case beginning with the discovery of a dismembered body part, tracking how investigators use DNA evidence, missing persons reports, digital trails, and forensic analysis to identify victims and solve cases. The project is executive produced by Duffy for Black Watch Entertainment, Diana Carter for Hearst Networks, and Mark Marabella, with Alison Reid serving as showrunner and Kim Ball as executive in charge of production for Super Channel. ITV Studios is handling international distribution. Production will be based in Manitoba, taking advantage of provincial tax credits of up to 65 percent as well as federal incentives.
