Project Summary
MED marks Netflix Brazil's debut medical drama, a series set in a university hospital that follows young doctors navigating the intense demands of their internships. Clara Moneke leads the ensemble cast, which includes Gisela Gáti, Gabriela Mag, Pedro Goifman, and Ricardo Reis. The series is created and showrun by Helena Petta and Ana Petta, their first fiction leadership role, with Gustavo Bragança serving as head writer alongside Aline Portugal, João Costa Van Hombeeck, Thays Berbe, and Victor Hugo Valois. Production comes from Paranoid, the company co-headed by Heitor Dhalia, whose recent Netflix hits include Criminal Code and Rulers of Fortune. Producers Manoel Rangel and Egisto Betti round out the Paranoid team. Netflix announced the series at Rio2C 2026 as part of its expanding Brazilian slate, though no production start date or premiere window has been disclosed.
