Lily May B

Lily May B is the seventh feature film from visionary French auteur Leos Carax, marking his return to filmmaking following his 2021 Cannes Best Director award-winner Annette. Jenna Ortega leads the project, portraying the titular character Lily in this dystopian road movie. The production is being overseen by Hugo Sélignac at Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, a Mediawan company, with Sélignac's recent credits including Beating Hearts and All Your Faces. The film follows three young characters through empty cities, deserted highways, and ancient forests in what is described as an end-of-the-world landscape. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Spring 2027, with the full ensemble cast to be announced in September 2026. The project was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026, positioning it as one of the most closely watched auteur-driven productions heading into next year.
