John Is Sad

A tormented loner with an unknown past seeks solace in an unlikely connection with his therapist — until darkness and obsession unravel the fragile line between killer and victim, revealing the haunted child hidden within the monster. "John Is Sad" is a twisted therapy session with no safe word — where redemption is a joke, violence is catharsis, and the only way out is through a hail of blood, guilt and childhood trauma. A psychological thriller feature presented and produced by Red Octopus Films and co-produced by RISE Studios. A film by VFX Artist turned Writer/Director Mark Foscolo ("Bone Tomahawk", "White Boy Rick"), starring Aaron Dalla Villa ("The Wrath of Becky", "Gotham"), and produced by 2025 Stunt Emmy Nominee Corey Pierno ("The Penguin", "The Wolf of Wall Street", "Daredevil").
