Dirty Bird
Project Summary
Dirty Bird is an original adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull, directed and written by Whit Flint, produced by Twenty Somethings Productions in collaboration with Riot Act. The production embraces the surrealism of Chekhov, shatters convention within expressionism, and offers a darker take on the classic. Set in present-day New York and building its score around artists like Bowie, the Pixies, and the Zombies, it doesn't shy away from characters bearing their souls, often to humiliating fractures. The production runs under the AEA Showcase Code and is presented at ErF Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Genres: Drama, Theater, Adaptation, Surrealism, Expressionism
