Project Summary
Canopy is a horror-thriller creature feature that Netflix has acquired in a six-figure preemptive deal. Written by Brandon Feldman, the spec script follows a botanist on a perilous mission deep in the Amazon rainforest who encounters a deadly apex predator in this survival thriller. Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena are producing through their Dichotomy production banner. The script generated industry attention after being posted to The Black List website, where it received strong ratings. With Netflix acquiring the project and producers attached, Canopy is in early development as the streamer builds out its genre slate.
