Boxtown is a limited series pilot presentation that reexamines the state of the American town during a time of alienation and fragmentation, searching for the ties to hold us together through the thin hours of the night. It features a large ensemble cast, dozens of memorable extras, and an immersive and carefully curated set featuring shop and bar interiors. Neil, Maria, and their daughter Dean move into a newly developed neighborhood. While unpacking, Neil builds a cardboard maze in the basement for Dean to play in. Coming home from work, Neil finds Maria and Dean missing and hears strange noises coming from the cardboard maze. He enters the maze calling for Dean, but then the floor collapses and he finds himself in an entire town made of cardboard. Minutes later, he forgets where he came from and who he was looking for. Stranded in a ramshackle town with no money or memory, Neil and Maria must rely on the friendship and support of Lulu the pizzeria owner and Hugh Ramp, a boxing legend sidelined by a workplace injury. Taking new jobs around town, Neil and Maria rediscover themselves through hardship and the community bonds that sustain them. Meanwhile, Joey Ramp, son of the local boxing legend, returns home after breaking the terms of his scholarship. While working on the factory line and taking night courses, Joey catches the eye of Daphne Rigas, who works with her mother Lulu at a pizzeria. Joey struggles to square his feelings for Daphne with his desire to escape the destructive nature of the town. After encountering his father boxing in the streets for money, Joey reconnects with old friends to blow off steam at a nearby dive, only to run into Daphne and her freewheeling girl gang, The Bread Tag Babes, as well as a menacing rival from his own boxing days. As old demons and new romance explode at the bar, Joey loses a bar fight but wins Daphne over and realizes he doesn't have to make it on his own. Filming October 25–31, 2026 in New York City, NY.
