Behind Closed Doors

Behind Closed Doors marks writer-director Joseph Sperber's feature debut, a political murder mystery that has just begun principal photography in Los Angeles. The Cold War thriller stars Elijah Reed, Nick Samson, Melissa Alce, Christian Haines, and Charrell Mack in a story set during fall 1979 Washington. The production is being shot entirely in real time across a single location, following a wounded federal agent who collapses into his neighbor's apartment and sets off a tense standoff. Galileo Mondol and Carlos Lopes are producing for BT Studios alongside Aaron Schmidt, with Martin Taube serving as director of photography. Sperber, whose short film Let Us Play screened at LA Shorts International Film Festival, is exploring themes of truth and paranoia against the backdrop of Cold War-era political intrigue.
