A disgraced investigator, numbed by grief after his partner's mysterious death, is pulled into a series of ritualistic crimes that point to something far older than any killer. As reality begins to fracture, he realizes the force behind it is wearing a familiar face - forcing him to question whether he's hunting a monster, or being lured into becoming one.
