Project Summary
Anathema is a Norwegian psycho-thriller from directing duo Ea Johanne Sandberg and Alpha Nord, currently in development as a Denmark-Norway-Germany co-production. The project is being produced by Empathitude Pictures, the newly launched Oslo-Copenhagen banner led by Janne Hjeltnes and Anne Borgaard Sørensen. LevelK has boarded worldwide sales for the feature, which was pitched at the Nordic Co-Production Market during the 2026 Haugesund Film Festival. The producers describe the film as a character-driven, boundary-pushing work with a Gen Z approach to storytelling. Empathitude Pictures is seeking additional co-financiers and distributors for the project, which marks the company's first feature under their banner established in 2025.
