UCP

Universal Content Productions LLC (UCP) was an American scripted television production company operating as a division of Universal Studio Group within NBCUniversal (a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast). Founded in July 2008 as Universal Cable Productions and rebranded in early 2019 to reflect its expansion from cable into streaming and broadcast platforms, UCP was known for its 'indie sensibility at scale,' producing Emmy-winning and critically acclaimed series including Mr. Robot, The Umbrella Academy, Suits, Resident Alien, Chucky, Ted, Dr. Death, Candy, and Gaslit. As of June 16, 2026, UCP has been merged with Universal International Studios (UIS) to form Universal Global Television (UGT), led by Beatrice Springborn as President, with UCP's slate, overall deals, and key executives transitioning to the combined entity.
