About

Imaginarium Studios is a pioneering performance capture and virtual production company founded in 2012 by actor-director Andy Serkis, now operating as a Cinesite partner company. Based primarily at Pinewood Studios in the UK (with a US facility at Trilith Studios in Atlanta and a Kings Cross volume at SIDE London), the studio applies and develops performance capture and virtual production tools to create digital characters for film, television, games, AR, VR, and mixed reality. The studio is widely regarded as the UK's leading commercially available motion capture facility, with credits spanning major Marvel productions, video game titles, music videos, and theatrical projects. In May 2023, VFX and animation company Cinesite acquired a majority stake in the studio, with CEO Matthew Brown continuing to lead the company.
