About

Polite Society is a 2023 British martial arts action comedy film written and directed by Nida Manzoor, marking her feature directorial debut. Produced by Working Title Films (Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner) and Parkville Pictures (Olivier Kaempfer and John Pocock), the film stars Priya Kansara and Ritu Arya as British-Pakistani sisters in London. It was distributed in the US by Focus Features and internationally by Universal Pictures, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and earned an approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film earned approximately $2.7 million at the worldwide box office and won the British Independent Film Award for Best Debut Screenwriter for Nida Manzoor.
